Step Aboard the People Mover

3

A few months back, while walking towards a long concourse at the San Francisco airport, I noticed some of the people in front of me veering off to the right towards a moving sidewalk or “People Mover”. Rarely in the past had I ever chosen to use this device feeling that it was for those who ‘needed it” or who were less able or burdened with heavy luggage.

The week before I had experienced some respiratory difficulty so I decided to use the assistance that had been there all along.  The second I stepped on the “People Mover” I noticed that my rate of forward movement had accelerated.

As I looked over towards those who had chosen to walk it dawned on me that the moving sidewalk was taking me exactly where I wanted to go, in less time and with less effort and energy.

As I boarded the plane, trying to come up with a simple way to explain Klemmer & Associates later that day, to a room of people who knew nothing about our company or the work that we do, I reflected back and realized in that instant that Klemmer & Associates is a “People Mover”. Actually a series of “People Movers” or seminars designed to support others in getting where they have always said they wanted to go, in less time and with less effort and energy.

As with a “People Mover”, if you are willing to get yourself out of the way and do some work on your own, you will produce results even faster.

It is time to step on, step over and step it up!

K&A has been a “People Mover for me and my family” it’s enabled me to have the skills and confidence to facilitate leadership programs at Western Washington University. I also found my passion for developing young leaders to realize their potential. My accomplishments are because K&A found and brought the leader out in me!!!!
