What Is Your Capacity To Lead?

So, what is your capacity to lead? Odds are that we will all go to our graves having experienced only a fraction of our actual capacity to lead. I believe your actual capacity is nearly endless. What is limited is one’s “perceived capacity to lead”. In terms of the results we create as leaders, our perception is our reality.

What is your capacity to lead?

Leadership capacity

Rarely will we ever place ourselves in a position to create results or attract relationships that could exceed our perceived capacity to handle them. As crazy as it might sounds once the results we create in business or relationship exceed our perceived capacity to lead, we will subconsciously sabotage our results to bring them back to levels that match our perception. Certainly you have experienced someone who unwittingly drove away romantic interests, business relationships or great wealth because they do not see themselves, at a heart level, deserving them.

To a large degree leadership requires expansion of one’s perception of their worthiness of the journey as well as seeing themselves as deserving of the rewards. So often we pray for increased resources, sales volume, income or new recruits or business leaders in our organizations, when what we should be requesting is an increase in our capacity to attract and maintain those things.

One huge benefit of personal development such as the trainings provided by Klemmer & Associates is it allows us to witness ourselves in action. To see how we are really showing up and seen by those we wish to lead versus how we think we show up and are seen by others. It is quite common for leaders who attend our 5-day Advanced Leadership Seminar to report that the week they were away from their businesses, focusing on themselves, they experienced record growth in their businesses. As one’s perceived capacity increase, it creates a vacuum to attract greater abundance in every area of our lives. Perceived capacity is determining the quality of your life.

If you are interested in creating huge and sustained results, focus first on expanding you perceived capacity to lead.
