As the manager and facilitator of the Samurai Camp course, I have the firsthand experience of working with people to break through the obstacles that keep them from getting what they want. I am currently at the Gold Coast in Australia, getting ready for the 2^nd weekend of Sam Camp Australia II.

There is a Team Leader coaching this Camp who was a student in Sam Camp Australia I two years ago. In that Camp, his professional goal was to be elected as a representative of his political party; similar to being nominated as a Senator in the USA. He did not get that goal during his Camp.

But here he is doing Camp again from a different perspective as a volunteer coach, and his dream is coming true as we speak. Why did he get nominated this time?

Reach Your Goals With Clear Intentions

The difference between setting his goal two years ago and setting it now is one thing…his intention. We do an exercise in our Personal Mastery all about how intention plus mechanism equals results.

He had mechanisms in place last time, but he really wasn’t 100% committed to his goal. He thought he was but based on results, often harsh but always fair, he wasn’t.

Ever do that yourself? You could swear you were completely committed but your goal just doesn’t happen.

You may change the way you are doing it, how you are doing it, or try different mechanisms, all of which could work, all of which should work, but the goal eludes you. What is the difference? Your intention!

Two years ago he bravely went through the motions but at some level he didn’t really believe that he could win. He wasn’t ready mentally or emotionally. His wife wasn’t 100% behind his dream. He hadn’t rallied his community or the people that could make the difference for him.

But this time, he was in alignment within himself, between his head and heart. His wife and family were aligned with his dream. His community, his friends and colleagues are behind him. His church and the supporters of the other candidates that didn’t win are in his corner and everything and everyone just fell into place.

Miracles are happening daily and his campaign has just begun. He received a Christmas card signed from the Mayor today…he is being noticed, supported and acknowledged.

Have you ever had those moments in time when everything fell into place and it was as if you could do no wrong? It felt like, “the force” was with you? That is what 100% clear intention feels like. It doesn’t matter what the obstacles are or even how you achieve the goal, there is nothing between you and the end result.

That’s how you know you are 100% committed. In Samurai Camp, we work a lot on intention; how to increase it and super-charge it, how to step into the traits or beingness that will create results and how to manage your attitude and thinking.

So today, check in with yourself and the results you are creating. Or look at it this way…based on results, what is your intention? You deserve to have exactly what you want, so get clear and go get it!
